Richard Urban BSc (Hons) MSc FRICS
Credentials
Mont Varou Limited was founded by Richard Urban, a director of funds and investment companies with over £8 billion of assets under management. Richard has extensive investment and governance experience spanning infrastructure, natural resources, private equity and real estate.
Richard has been awarded the Freedom of the City of London and he is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors.
Richard holds a BSc (Hons) in Investment and Finance in Property from University of Reading and an MSc in Mining Engineering with distinction from Camborne School of Mines, University of Exeter.
Richard’s MSc research achieved a world first by applying fuzzy logic to the assessment of risk in the cobalt supply chain, with a particular focus on sustainability. The research was supported by non-governmental organisations and world leading brands from the consumer electronics and electric vehicle manufacturing sectors.
